Mary Edith Marshall, 69, was born Dec. 1, 1949, in Houston, Mo., to Jay Dee and Mary Lenora (Farley) Morton. She passed away June 5, 2019, at Cox South, Springfield, Mo., after a long illness.

She grew up in Houston, Mo., and graduated from Houston High School. After graduation she worked for Maries Beauty Salon for a while and later for Brown Shoe Company. When Brown Shoe closed she began taking care of foster children in her home.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her two sons, Robert Branum and wife, Jennifer, of Houston, Mo., and Ryan Branum and wife, Tiffani, of St James, Mo.; and eight grandchildren, Rustin Branum, Brody Branum, Jason Branum, Skylena Branum, Ethan Branum, Kyle Lay, Jordyn Lay and Kadyn Lay.

Mary enjoyed sewing, painting and drawing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday June 8, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Villapiano officiating. Cremation will follow services under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Cemetery.
