The Houston Schools campus was under “soft lockdown” for a while Friday after a juvenile boy was found to be in possession of a gun at the high school.
Houston Police Department Lt. Brad Evans said that at about 1:20 p.m., another student provided information to school resource officer Josh Green that the boy was carrying a pistol.
“Our SRO responded immediately and seized the gun and took the juvenile into custody for questioning,” Evans said.
“There were no threats made toward any students or faculty and there was no malicious behavior on his part.”
The gun was not loaded.
