A dump truck overturned on U.S. 63 just before 3 p.m. Monday north of the Big Piney River near Highway UU.
Tpr. Travis Brown said a southbound 1993 Peterbilt driven by Harlan D. Stotler, 55, of Mansfield, experienced the failure of a steering axle tire, ran off U.S. 63 and overturned.
The driver was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
MoDOT was called after diesel fuel was seen rolling down a ditch a short distance from the Big Piney River.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Houston Rural Fire Department.
