ACCIDENT

A Dixon woman was injured at about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in a Bucyrus crash, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

A Dixon woman was injured early Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 17 at Bucyrus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Tpr. Mark Ritter said a southbound 2005 Chrysler 300 driven by Charlene A. Joy, 66, of Dixon, struck a southbound 2016 Ford F-150 operated by Lawrence W. Cooper, 71, of Bucyrus. The Cooper vehicle was stopped in the roadway to turn left near Emery Road. 

Joy was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She had minor injuries, Ritter said. 

The pickup had moderate damage. The car has extensive damage. Everyone was wearing a seat belt. 

Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Jacob Sellars and the Houston Rural Fire Department Rescue Squad.
