Back to Basics – a retail store on Grand Avenue in downtown Houston – now has more to offer.

The store opened in August 2018 and gives area residents increased access to a holistic (or natural) approach to healthcare. Owner and operator Gayla Campbell recently added a breakfast café, 200-plus herb and spice products and CBD products for family and pets.

Campbell is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (CHHP), Certified Essential Oils Coach (CEOC) and a Reike Master. She has been in the health field since 1984 and formerly owned and operated a gym in West Plains.


Back to Basics offers a variety of CBD products from family and pets.

Back to Basics also offers many products Campbell makes herself entirely from natural ingredients, including shampoo, deodorant, rubs and others. The store also carries many essential oils, and Campbell offers consulting to help people formulate a holistic healthcare and nutrition strategies.
