INVESTIGATIONS

The Houston Police Department handled investigations in the last week.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Tom L. Story, 72, of 15450 Ingram Drive in Houston, was cited on July 6 for operating a vehicle with expired license plates.

•Billy J. Hayes Jr., 28, of 313 N. Grand Ave. in Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after allegedly entering a Florence Street residence without permission on July 4 and refusing to leave even after the 48-year-old man and 64-year-old woman who live there had asked him multiple times.

An investigating officer noted in a report that the man and woman had filed for an ex-parte against Hayes, but it was not yet completed.

Hayes was also cited for fourth-degree domestic assault after allegedly breaking out the window of a woman’s Grand Avenue residence at about 4 a.m. June 19. A significant amount of glass reportedly fell onto the woman while she was lying on her bed.

•David J. Teal, 37, of 1423 Smith Road at Seymour, was cited on July 1 for driving without a valid license.

•Jessie E. Garrett, 27, of 807 Dooley St. in Houston, was issued citations for failure to place a child in a restraint seat and no insurance after a traffic stop on Dooley Street at about 9 p.m. July 5.

•Jada L. Jones, 22, of 312 Paul St. in Cabool, was issued citations for failure to yield right of way and no insurance after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Highway 17 at about 12:50 p.m. June 24.
