ACCIDENT

An Elk Creek woman was injured Tuesday, Sept. 17, at U.S. 60 and Highway A in Webster County.

An Elk Creek woman was injured Tuesday in a crash at Diggins on U.S. 60, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Troopers said a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica van driven by Ann W. Deghuee, 83, of Theodosia, pulled into the path of another vehicle driven by a Mountain Grove man, W.R. Messer, 82. 

A passenger in the Deghuee van, Susan J. Park, 64, of Elk Creek, sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy in Springfield. Deghuee had moderate injuries and was sent to Cox South in Springfield.

Messer had moderate injuries and a passenger, Joy L. Messer, 71, had minor injuries and both went to Cox South. 

Both vehicles had extensive damage, and everyone was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
