Two Texas County men face multiple felony charges after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of a stolen vehicle that began Nov. 13.
Sheriff Scott Lindsey said deputies were dispatched to Astoria Road regarding a report of a stolen 2002 Chevrolet truck and its contents.Â
On Nov. 21, Lindsey said, the Salem Police Department recovered an item stolen from the vehicle and took multiple suspects into custody. Texas County deputies investigated and received further information, and the stolen pickup was located on Carter Lane.Â
Additional items from the vehicle have been recovered and the investigation continues.     Â
Texas County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jason MacPherson charged Justin D. Dake, 37, of Yukon with felonies of stealing a motor vehicle and stealing a firearm. Dake is held in the Texas County Jail pending $150,000 bond.Â
Facing the same charges is Justin B. Williams, 40, of Houston. Williams is being held in the Dent County Jail on local charges.       Â
