FARM FEST

The Cabool Chamber of Commerce will host a big event Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12 and 13.

Farm Fest and Outdoor in the Ozarks Expo will feature numerous vendors displaying automobiles, farm equipment, home and garden items, arts and crafts and more. There will also be about 10 food vendors, as well as local groups conducting bake sales and other fundraisers.

On Friday, representatives of MFA and the Missouri Department of Conservation will do presentations about subjects related to their fields, and Smokey Bear will make an appearance from 2 to 4 p.m. and have goodies for kids.

Saturday will feature lots of family-oriented fun, including games and craft activities, face painting and helicopter rides. That afternoon will include turtle races, a watermelon eating contest, sack races and a greased pig contest.

There will also be an interactive animal exhibit.

The Ozarks Older Iron Club will have displays and demonstrations in its adjacent property, and a tractor parade at 11 a.m. each day.
