A 49-year-old Bucyrus woman was killed Tuesday in a collision with a military vehicle and her son critically injured Tuesday at Fort Leonard Wood, authorities said.
Dead is Christine Boone, 49.
Officials at Fort Leonard Wood said the two-vehicle accident involved a heavy expanded mobility tactical truck and a 2005 Dodge Neon at about 3:21 p.m.
Boone was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car – her young son – was airlifted to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia and is listed in critical condition.
A soldier and a passenger in the military truck were not injured.
The Fort Leonard Wood Military Police and the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command are investigating the accident.
