An Elk Creek boy was injured at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 1 in an accident north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Licking man was killed early Wednesday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while walking along a Dent County highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Joseph A. Baldridge, 31, was walking along the edge of Highway C when he was truck by a northbound 2006 GMC Canyon operated by Mitchell L. Edgerton, 58, of Licking. The 4:30 a.m. accident was about 1.5 miles south of Anutt.

The patrol said Baldridge was pronounced dead at the scene by Dent County Coroner Gina White. He was taken to the Dent County coroner’s office in Salem.

Edgerton, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. His vehicle had minor damage.

The patrol’s major crash investigative team assisted troopers at the scene.
