A 50-year-old Licking man faces numerous felony charges after being arrested last week by Texas County authorities.
According to a sheriff’s department report, a deputy was dispatched last Thursday to a Boiling Springs Road residence at Licking regarding a request to check the well-being of a 45-year-old woman. The officer reportedly made contact with the woman, and she stated a man had pointed a pistol at her face and said “it’s either you or me.” She said she moved the gun away from her face and it discharged a bullet into the ceiling, authorities said.
After an investigation, the officer sent a probable cause statement to the county prosecutor seeking five felony drug charges against the man (including possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, distribution of pot and possession of paraphernalia) and one charge of manufacturing liquor without a license. An arrest warrant was soon issued and Thomas Kaley, of 15600 Boiling Springs Road, was apprehended and taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was held on $250,000 bond.
