Students can receive free admission into tonight’s Houston High School football game against Cabool by bringing a non-perishable food item.
The food drive through the Texas County Food Pantry will benefit ‘Blessings in a Backpack,’ which sends food home on weekends to hungry students. Suggested items for the drive include individual cans of ravioli, applesauce, granola bars, diced fruit cups, individual vegetable cups, canned meat, vegetables, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter and canned soups.
Parents and other adults are encourage to participate but will still be charged the regular admission price.
