One person was injured Wednesday when a trailer-truck sideswiped a truck pulling a trailer north of Houston.
Tpr. Travis Brown said a northbound 2014 Kenworth driven by Terri L. Smith-Pate, 53, sideswiped a southbound 1998 Dodge truck with a trailer that was operated by Douglas J. Deeken, 40, of Meta, at about 5 a.m. near Twin Bridges.
Brown said Smith-Pate was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The truck was totaled.
Assisting at the scene were Cpl. Terry Nelson, Tpr. Jacob Sellers, Tpr. Mark Philpott, the Missouri Department of Transportation, Houston Rural Fire Department sent two trucks and four personnel and Licking Fire Department had one truck and four volunteers. A county sheriff’s department deputy also was there.
