Services are set for a Cabool teenager killed Friday in a crash about six miles south of his hometown on Highway 181.

School will be released at noon on Tuesday, said Dr. Wesley Davis, superintendent.  Jared Reese’s funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the new gym.

Cpl. Clint Dill of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a northbound 2000 Chevrolet pickup driven by the 17-year-old driver skidded off the west side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned at about 7:25 a.m.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the passenger side window. He was pronounced dead at about 10:05 a.m. at Cox South in Springfield.

Area high school students are wearing blue and gold Monday in honor of Jared's service in FFA, where he was an officer.
