Texas County Memorial Hospital

Texas County Memorial Hospital, opened in 1957, is one of the city's major employers, pumping millions into the local economy and playing a key role in the area's healthcare needs. In 2013, it opened a new $18 million expansion that created a new emergency room, updated radiology services and new patient rooms. A renovation of the existing hospital also is planned. The medical complex features the latest in medical technology, including MRI, CT, electronic medical records and digital radiology. Also on the TCMH campus is a medical office complex with healthcare providers specializing in general surgery, family practice, obstetrics and internal medicine.

Located on South Sam Houston Boulevard, the hospital is situated on a 10-acre tract. The hospital also operates clinics in Cabool, Licking, Summersville and Mountain Grove. St. John's Health System also has physicians on the medical staff at TCMH.
