Remnants of Hurricane Ike swept through Texas County early Sunday, downing trees, causing flooding and closing roads.

Heavy rain accompanied by high winds left their calling card on the county - leaving a small trace of what hit hurricane-striken Texas.

Across Houston trees are down and Brushy Creek went on a rampage, leaving water in some business buildings.

At Dog's Bluff, the Big Piney River swallowed the area. Some highways were closed for a time, including U.S. 63 between Houston and Cabool at Highway H.

Electricity service is lost in some parts of the county.
