Missouri linebacker Jeff Gettys picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown to put the finishing touches on the No. 6 Tigers' 69-17 romp Saturday afternoon of Nevada.

Gettys' interception and 27-yard score was the game's lone turnover. His touchdown was a record-setting ninth for Mizzou, which tied it's all-time mark for points in a game.

Gettys also had one solo tackle -- the fifth of his career. He had two tackles in each of the Tigers' previous wins.

MIssouri quarterback Chase Daniel threw for 405 yards to set the school career passing record and Missouri scored on its first 10 possessions. Daniel threw for four TDs and was 23-for-28 to take Missouri (3-0) to seven touchdowns and a field goal before exiting in the third quarter.

The Tigers gained 651 yards and averaged 10 yards per play. The 69 points tied a team record set against Kansas in 1969, and they've scored 173 points in three games.

Gettys' touchdown was the highlight on an offensive record-setting day. Along with tying the modern school record for points scored, Mizzou set a school record with nine touchdowns. The previous record was eight touchdowns, done five times. Kicker Jeff Wolfert set a school record with nine extra points.

It's believed to be the first time Mizzou had three 100-yard receivers in a game. Jeremy Maclin had 172, Chase Coffman had 127 and Tommy Saunders had 100. Jared Perry just missed, finishing with 98 yards. All were personal highs.

The win was Mizzou's eighth consecutive in nonconference games, the longest streak in school history.
