July Sobriety Checkpoint Planned For Texas County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced this week that it will hold a sobriety checkpoint in Texas County sometime in July.

The checkpoint, which will be in cooperation with other area law enforcement agencies, is part of the patrol's efforts to remove careless and intoxicated drivers from Missouri's highways.

Checkpoints are conducted at various locations that have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts, hazardous driving contacts

and traffic crashes.
